TyShawn Dion – PPP (Official Video)

PPP is an amazing cinematic experience with the soundtrack to match. For months on end, TyShawn Dion teased his fans with several snippets from this video, garnering upwards of 100,000 views collectively. As the lead single off of his playlist “Gone for the Summer”, and following the VEVO video release for the playlist’s title track- PPP (Pain, Pride, and Pleasure) depicts a forbidden relationship that gets a little too close to home.

Highlighted by lyrics such as “Girl I might want ya, but I don’t need you babe, let’s just chill and figure out some things”, and “this that pain, and pride, and pleasure- I can give you what you want”, Dion displays his ability to downplay, and emotionally disconnect from the relationship with his mistress- all the while maintaining his happy home, as her feelings for him create a rift within her respective relationship.

Feeling at times, more like a movie than a music video, PPP enthralls the audience with an Oscar worthy performance that further captures the comprehensive theme of the playlist. In its entirety, “Gone for the Summer” accentuates the stages of today’s “situationship” culture in a manner that compliments the natural progressions of a typical summer for young adults with PPP at the forefront, serving as the audiovisual experience that steers the ship.
