“Jolene” leaves you at the crossroads of poignantly beautiful and achingly haunting. American singer-songwriter, Scott McLeod, commands a sort of rustic masculinity, tethered to a gentle tenderness, as he sings this story of heartbreak, and despair.
A remake of a song by Ray LaMontagne, McLeod brings the lyrics to life, as he paints the story of a rambling man, spun out of control, and hopelessly lost, as he attempts to drown his inescapable grief with drugs, alcohol, and perpetual motion. True to the lyrics, the music video was filmed in Spokane, WA.
